I started this system in the beginning of the 2015-16 school year. The left image showing the four artist dolls is where it all began. Students of all ages have truly enjoyed this system. Even the teachers are excited when their class wins and They get into the point earning spirit encouraging their classes to earn one and try to beat the points they earned last time. The image on the right is what I have for the 2017-18 school year, the collection of animated and illustrated characters as well as more artists and historians in the mix. When I have a book to go along with one of the Friends, it follows with them so that students are able to learn more about the character that is spending a week in their classroom.
A school wide incentive, that is used for individual recognition of demonstrating Dalton's three school rules, Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Courteous. When students earn a paw they place it in the grade level box and names are pulled weekly to be recognized as student of the week, for their class, demonstrating "PAWtastic" behavior.
